My photo album

My Favourite Things

So far, my bestest things are sleeping, eating, pooing and weeing (whenever possible I do this without my nappy on!). I also very much like spending lots of time in my moses basket or being cuddled by all my grandparents of which there are lots and lots! Some of them look funny to me, especially the ones who have less hair than me! Here are all my Grandparents!

About me!

I was born at 1.16am at Harlow's Princess Alexandra Hospital and weighed 6lbs 9oz! My full name is Brooke Leona Robinson and my brave Mummy is Oona Robinson and my silly daddy is Lee Robinson. I think that is why my middle name is Leona (lee & oona...get it?). Anyway, back to the important thing...me! I am 52cm long and currently have lovely blonde hair like Mummy and Blue eyes but they might go another colour when I get a bit older! I am of course...a GIRL!

My favourite Football team is Manchester United and my favourite animal is a Cat called BoBo who lives with me. I live in Epping, Essex.

My Big Adventures

14th Feb - Talking Love!

Well it's been a VERY long time since my last update so I thought I'd give you all a very good update of what I've been up to! Since the summer I've grown and grown and grown and I've now mastered these strange things I have called feet! I can't quite make it without holding onto stuff, but I'm well on my way around the front room all by myself! I'm not into that crawling thing that other babies do, I prefer to use my bottom or myfeet to get around! Mummy and Daddy didn't seem to happy with me earlier when I pulled the laptop off the table and broke it! Oh well, Daddy gets a new laptop so I think that's a great valentines day present for him xxx.

Now, before I'd really got to grips with walking, I had this well wicked thing called Christmas where we celebrate the birth of a very nice man lots of years ago. Anyway, the good bit is, I get to see everyone in my own home and don't have to go out in the car. All my relatives bought me toys and gifts and now Mummy says we need a new home to put all my stuff in! My favourite presents were my High Chair where Mummy feeds me all my yummy meals (yes that's right,...I eat real food now too) and my walker that I use to run around without falling over in! It's great. BoBo the cat isn't too keen on it, especially now he only has 3 legs after sitting under somebody's car! Mummy and daddy said he didn't do the green cross code whatever that is!?!?! The other great thing about Christmas, was that I got to try lots of funny food and Daddy cooked a great big thing called a Turkey that we all ate for days and days and days.

Daddy has decided that it will be better for us both if we have a larger place where he can work and I can help him so he moved into a bigger place next door to the small place where we used to work! Daddy loves it because it has a real toilet (why he can't use a nappy like everyone else I don't know) and because he now has his very own office that I can use to keep even more toys in. Good old daddy. Grandaddy Robinson has been helping out to make it all safe at night and has worked very hard. I've also been helping Daddy to learn the electric guitar that Pop got him for his Christmas present. Daddy must be getting good because Mummy says she hasn't heard anything like it ever!

Now, the latest thing I've discovered is that if I call Daddy and Mummy in their language, they talk back to me in baby language! I don't understand why this is. They've spent all this time trying to get me to learn their language and when I do, they start to talk like a baby themselves! Silly Mummy and Daddy.

I'm looking forward to the warmer weather so I can play out in the Garden and go on Holidays again in our new Caravan that Mummy and Daddy got me. It's a bigger one than before and I have my very own room. Daddy had to buy a big car to pull it with but mummy isn't too happy as it keeps breaking down! Mummy says to daddy, "pay less and buy twice" and daddy pulls a funny face! They make me laugh lots and I think I understand what this thing is they call Love. I've got quite close to them now and wouldn't have them any other way! Good thing it's Valentines day. I love you Mummy & Daddy and all my other lovely family!

Hopefully I'll have more time in Daddy's new office to do more updates on my latest adventures. Bye for now xxx

Clubbing & Swimming

What a busy month I've had. despite the total rubbish weather I seem to have to endure since my arrival on this planet, Mummy and Daddy still decided to take me away with Nanny Robinson for a Camping Weekend in their Caravan to a place called "Sunny" Calcton. I am still trying to understand this funny "Sunny" Joke. Anyway, I got my new Swimming costume which was all pink and sparkly and I went for my very first swim in a big pool. I loved every moment of it, especially as everyone commented on just how beautiful I looked in my costume! After swimming Mummy, Daddy & Nanny took me to a Nightclub where I watched Sparky the Rabbit, Narky the Rat and some very talented singers and dancers. The music later in the evening was a bit loud so I had a kip. All in all though, I enjoy this clubbing thing and intend to do lots more of it in future!

I've been to see or been visited by all my other Grandparents and a few Aunts & Uncles too! All very exciting and I reward each one of them with a huge smile and a little gabble and giggle which I have now learnt to use to my advantage with the silly grown ups. I had to have yet another medical appointment today and the doctor was very pleased with me and my growth. I did tell him that of course I'd be growing, seeing as mummy makes such yummy food for me. I now weigh 11lb4oz but still look smaller and cuter than all the other babies (or at least that's what Daddy says).

I've met a few other babies on my travels and I've noticed that they can understand me so I talk to them a lot now too. Daddy got a new Telly when he went to a big shopping place to spend my gift vouchers! So now I have lots and lots of play toys plus a huge colourful screen that I have total control over. Trouble is, it's blank most of the time because Daddy says it will give me square eyes and a fat bum so I spend a lot of time kicking and playing with my toys instead but I'll work out a cunning plan to get the remote control under my total powers soon enough I'm sure.

Seeing as the weather has improved a bit more, I've instructed Daddy to do some more gardening to give me more room to play when I'm bigger. Daddy looks very tired but I've told him that he has to get it done before winter sets in and he's too busy to garden because he'll be playing with me, so he's getting on with it. Mummy is getting closer to her return to work date and I think that Daddy and me will miss her in the daytime lots and lots and lots. My Mummy is great, she makes me special food, gives me special cuddles and plays with me lots and lots. She's nearly as pretty as me I think and I know that me and Daddy will have to do our best when she goes back to work. I've promised to help Daddy with the house work if he helps me with learning to crawl.

So far, I have mastered the movement of my hands and legs but I don't seem to be able to lift myself off the floor long enough to actually move on my own just yet. So for now I still have to rely on the grown ups to fetch and carry everything for me. Perhaps I won't rush this crawling thing too much! Anyway, I'm off for a spot of lunch before my afternoon nap now. Check back soon as I'm bound to have done more amazing things and seen more amazing places! XXX Baby B XXX

Jabs & Camping + More!

Hello all, sorry for the long gap between this and the last update! I'm a busy little girl you know and Mummy and Daddy have had a hard time keeping up with me!

Most recently I've been back to see the now not so nice Doctor who after weighing me (9lbs now!) decided to attack me for no reason and stab me in the leg not once but TWICE! Of course I dealt with it very well by showing how brave I was, kicking the Doctor and then using my great big Daddy to hide behind! Daddy said I was very brave and that for my first ever jabs I did really well. I am quite frankly disturbed at this "first ever" remark. If they think I'm falling for that again they have another thing coming! As if being stabbed twice by the silly doctor wasn't bad enough, she also said I had a small head and wants to see me again soon to check it's growing properly. What a cheek! She was a fine one to talk. At least my nose fits my face unlike hers!

Anyway. Mummy and Daddy have bought a big ugly thing they call a Caravan. Nobody likes it except them. Apparently they got it for me so I went away with them in it so as not to hurt their feelings. I did cringe when the neighbours all came out to watch Daddy try and reverse it onto the driveway. Eventually a helpful neighbour put some hazard tape on the nearest buildings and clever daddy managed to squeeze it into the 40ft gap he had to put it into. Considering that it was not a hotel like the one I live in, it wasn't that bad but I had to sleep on the floor which I was not too impressed with. During our trips in the Caravan, I've been to a few restaurents and a couple of pubs including a nightclub and found them to be very nice places. Mummy said I was a very good girl for staying quiet through the meals, but that was so I could keep them awake later on (he he).

I've discoverd a new thing called swimming. I rather like it, although it's most annoying that I have to wait until I am 20lbs before I can find a nappy big enough to swim in! So until then I have to get Mummy to take me swimming in the big bath with my rubber ducky. It's great fun, especially when there are bubbles and I've already learnt to paddle.

I've also learnt a new form of communication with the big people called "talking". It's a shame to have to resort to such low levels of communication but it's the only way I can make any sense to anyone over the age of 4. I'[ve also discovered that if I talk and smile at the same time, everyone gets very excited and start to pull silly faces and talk all stupid! It's very funny so I'll keep doing it, but not too much...that way I'll keep them all interested and keen!

I've visited Nanny and Granddad Baker, Nanny Robinson before she went to Bulgaria (whatever that is) and also been visited by Granddad and Nanny Robinson as well as Nanny Merrit & Pop. It was Daddy's Birthday a little while ago and I wrote him his very first Card from me. He said it was very special and was really pleased with it. He wasn't so pleased later though when I gave him a VERY SPECIAL birthday present thanks to the laxatives the nasty doctor gave me for my dodgy belly! Still, I felt better for it! I'm only little you know and I stored that all up for nearly 2 weeks just for Daddy! Mummy had to help him deal with it as he was overcome with emotion....or something!

So, it's been busy busy busy. I've got to go now and I have to supervise Daddy doing the gardening whilst I lounge in the shade.

Getting Bigger Every day!

Well, i;ve been a busy little baby this last 3 weeks! So busy in fact that I've hardly had
time to update this website of mine! Anyway, these are the hilites from the last 3
weeks!

Football blues! Daddy was very sad after the FA Cup final that he went to with
Grandad Robinson. We lost in the last 3 minutes of the game so we never got our
double that Daddy said we would get. He said not to worry, because now we have
some better players, we'll get a treble next year! Daddy cheered up lots the following
week when some team called Liverpool lost against some Italian team. Daddy said
when I'm older I can go and watch United with him and Grandad Robinson and I'm
looking forward to seeing what all the fuss is about and listening to them argue in the
car!

Nappy Blues! Well, not for Daddy anyway! I've not been doing too many poos recently
so Mummy and Daddy say Im a very good girl. What they don't know is that I'm
saving it all up for them! he he he!

Out and About! I've been all over the place recently in my chauffeur driven car. I really
like going on trips in the car and have been camping with Nanny & Grandad Baker
where I met even more relatives that I never knew I had! There was another Baby there
and he was a boy. He was bigger than me but that's because he was older than me by
nearly 3 whole months! I'm not sure if I like boys much yet, apparently they are a bit
silly and not at all clever like us girls are! So mummy says. I also went to watch
Daddy swimming with Nanny Robinson and afterwards we went round Nanny's flat
which was all colourful and decorated lovely! She has a very pretty garden too and I
went to sleep in it whilst daddy eat his special after swimming meal of Chinese. Daddy
says he's swimming to get fit so he can play with me when I'm older but I don't think
eating Chinese afterwards is going to help. I won't say anything though! I've also been
to work nearly every day with Mummy & Daddy and watched them as they wrapped up
lots and lots of funny wigs, costumes & things. I like Daddy's business...it's silly.

Weigh-hey! I've been doing lots and lots...and lots of eating and am now getting up to
nearly 5oz per feed! I went for my first big Pram ride in the rain with Mummy and
Daddy to get weighed but when we got there we found out it wasn't until next week!
Mummy and Daddy got all wet and soggy but I was nice and dry under my plastic
cover on my pram that our nice next door neighbour showed silly mummy and daddy
how to put on properly! Eventually Mummy and Daddy got the right date (but took the
car this time just in case they got wet again!) and I finally got to be weighed. I was the
smallest one there but I'm not so small now that I'm 7lbs 10oz!!!! I've put on a whole
pound and 1 ounce. I also met another boy who was almost as small as me.
Apparently he was in his mummy's tummy about the same time as I was in my
mummy's tummy and that we'd already met before but only as bumps!

Communicating with the big people! As you will know, all us small people have a
very special way of communicating with each other that only we understand. So to
benefit the silly grown ups we have to do things with our face to let them know we are
okay. Mummy calls this smiling and daddy laughs when I do it. So far i've smiled at
nearly everyone I've met in the last week and every time I do, they start talking all
funny like goo goo gaar gaar! I wonder why? I've also decided that if you want anything
done, it's best to do it yourself. So because of this I've started to use my hands to
reach out for things and then mummy & daddy get it for me when I can't quite grab it. If
all else fails though, I still find that just SCREAMING at them works!

Anyway, I've got to go now as Daddy wants to use the internet to look for a Caravan for
me to have holidays in! Talk soon! BLRxxx
